I am a bass player in a blues band: Uphill. I have been writing songs for a few years. A year ago, I started to collaborate with a friend. Two of the songs that we wrote struck me a being super children's songs so we wrote a few more songs and put together a book package consisting of seven read-to-me-at-bedtime pre-school picture books, each containing the lyrics to the songs. We planned to include a CD of the songs so that the children can hear them in the family vehicle, and also sheet music for the songs. We are quite excited about this project, but are finding the road to publishing bestrewn with mines.
