I think writing and illustrating for children is just about the coolest thing a person can do. It's an adventure to grow stories or art from a seedling of an idea--especially when I haven't the faintest notion where it will lead!

When I'm not writing or illustrating, I work on readying my three daughters for the time they venture off on their own.
