I like to write poetry and have published one book of poetry, "Poetry from a Creative Mind." I started writing poetry by taking photos and describing what the photo meant to me in a poem. I later wrote poems that described my feelings about events that I observed or experienced and about people I know.

Poetry is a great way to deal with stresses in one's life, such as the death of a parent. It can also be used when something wonderful happens, such as the birth of a friend's child or a family member's child.

We live for just a short period of time, but what we leave behind lasts forever. I want to make a difference in other people's lives and I hope my poetry can help.
