A semi-retired physician from New Zealand, I seem to be more busy than when in full practice. I have been writing for many years; mostly medical. Three years ago, I completed a diploma in professional children's writing and discovered writing medical textbooks is a great deal easier than writing for children! At least with med books, one has a captive audience :) To date, I have not sent any work to the mighty publisher, but have over 1G of writing on my computers, so I guess I enjoy it.

As for Mollie (pictured), she is South American Python who lives in the wildlife park in Sydney, Australia. I am in a wheelchair and could not see over the crowd. I made the mistake of asking a nice young lady if there was somewhere could get a little closer - how about right inside the pen! My son, wife and family were freaking out..lol Trust me, snakes are VERY strong and surprisingly heavy.
In my work, I have "dealt" with animals as I grew up with them an have a natural insterest. Oh yes, did I say I suffer from curiosity :) :)
