About Maureen
I am a fashion and beauty writer and have had work published in Parents, Glamour, Vogue, Redbook, newspapers, and on designer websites. Additionally, I've written global advertising and catalogs. Other accomplishments include having had a tribute to John Lennon published by the Beatlefest organization, poetry published in local anthologies, and articles and celebrity interviews published in local newspapers. My short story, "The Legend of Sleepy Harlem," won first place in two national contests, and I was named "America's Next Flannery O'Connor."
Currently, I am at work on several manuscripts for adult, middle-grade, and picture-book audiences. My degree is in English, and I am currently enrolled in the Master of Arts Creative Writing Program at Manhattanville College. I am the founder of the Sound Shore Writers Group and the Literary Arts Program at The Rye Arts Center in Rye, NY. I am also the Co-Chairman of The Unicorn Writers Conference.
