Upon my return to the valley of my youth in the Allegheny mountians of Pennsylvania, after a lapse of 30 years living in Georgia, much time has been spent becomng acquainted with old friends and becoming involved numerous community porjects. The recollection of numerous childhood memories led to the completion of "Little Mr. Big Shot," a coming of age memoir filled with semi-fictional vignettes.
The community projects involved lighitng up 12 of our 52 bridges with victorian style lampposts and sconces in addition to lighting up the historic Pennsylvania Railroad Stone Bridge associated witht the great Johnsotwn flood of 1889. That bridge now features 8000 fiber optic bulbs and can be programmed to display 16,000 colors for various events and holidays.
