​My love of children's poetry and stories has been with me since I was very young. I remember entering a poetry competition at the age of ten and reciting a children's poem in front of an audience. Surprisingly, I won first prize. I studied Journalism at the University of Queensland and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Major in Journalism in 2000. Currently, I am an unpublished writer with a keen interest in writing picture books for children aged one to three. In 2010 our darling daughter Lyla Josephine was born and in 2012 our darling son Curtis Jo came into the world. My children are my inspiration and after seeing the world through their eyes I realised I wanted to stimulate children's imagination. The excitement on my daughter's face when I read to her is an image I want to capture forever!I hope my stories are enjoyed by young children and their love of reading continues to blossom.
