Hi! I'm one of those people who just loves to write. I especially like to write childrens stories. I'm a kitchen designer by trade but have enjoyed writing all my life. I just retired a few months ago and now with not much else to do I decided to start writing again. With 6 children of my own and 5 grand children the ideas for my stories are endless. I joined Jackflap so that I could see what others do and learn what's required to actually get a book published. With all my stories I like to try to stimulate a child's imagination and teach core principles like making friends sharing and being respectful of others etc. The imagination part is what excites me the most though because I know that when you stimulate a child's imagination you can open up all kinds of possibilities for them. I see a child's imagination as a 'life skill' that, with a little nurturing, can turn into the kind of creativity and inovation that serves us all.
