Although I’ve been writing since my early twenties, experimenting
 with genres, I really am a fledgling author. My deepest passion is for children’s 
literature, and I especially adore
 picture books.

I’ve spent most of my working life in the jewelry industry and have been a Graduate Gemologist for twenty years. My most enjoyable years were spent as a designer and gold smith; a creative process very similar to writing.

In addition to my college creative writing classes, I’ve also 
taken courses from Writer’s Digest and am a graduate of The Institute for Children’s Literature as well. I am also a member of The Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators.
