I was born in Greenwich, CT and have spent my entire life obsessed with the ocean.

I wasn't very cool as a little kid, so I imagined my alter ego to be the very beautiful, heroic and awesome Caterina the Mermaid; though I started writing (or at least contemplating) the Caterina Mermaid books in high school, and, if you haven't guessed, they're based on the adventures and misadventures of myself and my friends!
In addition to creating children's novels, I'm involved with the conservation movement, and my work aspires to teach young girls, among general "growing up" things, the value of environmental stewardship (and what adventures it can entail!)

I go to the SUNY Purchase College School of Art+Design, where I major in Sculpture and 3d Media.
