Martin Baker is a writer and illustrator of children’s books. A Sultana for the Sultan was published by Abelard-Schuman, and One Two Number Zoo, illustrated by Gabrielle Stoddart, was published by Hodder and Stoughton. Two further children’s books, The daring Aerobat, and Wellington the Tin Soldier will be published shortly. A history of the illustrations commissioned by Radio Times, A Golden Age of Illustration, was published in 2002 by the Ashmolean
Museum, Oxford. His illustrations for bookjackets have been commissioned by most leading
publishers in the United Kingdom.
