About Judith
I have been at aunt since I was 4 years old, so it only seemed fitting to use "Aunt Judy" as my pen name when I began writing. I am a self published author of two children's books, CHICKENS ON THE GO! and CHICKENS IN THE KNOW! (by self published I mean I have done everything myself - I did not use a vanity press).
CHICKENS ON THE GO! is about chickens from all over the world like AmericHENS, AfricHENS, MexicHENS, JapHENese and more. It exposes young children to cultural and racial harmony.
CHICKENS IN THE KNOW! features librariHENS, HENgineers, constructHEN workers and more, showing children how every job is important and we should all take pride in what we do. Both books are written in rhyme with repeating verse, and colorfully illustrated.
Since their release in 2006 and 2007 respectively, I have sold over 8,000 copies and have received emails from 25 different countries where the books are being used as a teaching tool for English as a second language. I have received rave reviews from parents, teachers and clergy praising the message of the books. I have received personal letters from Canada's Prime Minister and Governor General regarding the books. The East Lansing Public Library won the 2008 Bridge to Understanding Award for promoting international understanding among young people - CHICKENS ON THE GO! was the first book featured in the program.
