I live a full life. I work hard, I play hard, and I love hard. I am a woman of God who is devoted to my family and friends and tries to exhibit that devotion in minor and major actions. I am married to a wonderful man who supports my dreams, loves me passionately, and who every day he asks me, “Have you written anything today?”

I am stepmother to our beautiful daughter, Ashanti. She is my sunshine and I never miss an opportunity to tell her how special she is, and to encourage her to share the light that illuminates from her beautiful young spirit. Needless to say, she is my inspiration. Recently, on a trip to Aruba for my sister's wedding, Ashanti proudly and elegantly served as flower girl. As I watched her in the sand, twirling gloriously in her flower girl dress, I was inspired by her beauty, her excitement, and her utter fascination with being a flower girl. That day led to my first manuscript for a children's picture book, "Adventures of a Flower Girl Princess: Dress Drama!"

I have since completed two other manuscripts, outlines for more Flower Girl Princess stories set around the world, and an outline for a tween chapter book. You will be able to find more information and excerpts from these stories on this website on the What's New page.

Professionally, I am a public relations executive in Washington, D.C. Many of my positions have been in the service of children including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and Prince George's County Public Schools. These experiences have breathed life into my stories.

Currently, I am using my career and applying it to a personal endeavor. As a member/manager of Chocolate Cupcake, LLC, I am using both my talent and professional skills to touch the lives of children. Chocolate Cupcake, LLC is a lifestyle brand designed to celebrate the sweetness of our little girls. Through the interactions of five animated characters, we portray girls of color in diverse splendor as they navigate their lives using humor, family, friends, and 5-C Living as their guides. 5-C Living encompasses five core traits including courage, confidence, creativity, compassion, and character, which fuel the girls' decision-making and strengthen their relationships.
