I began my writing career at the age of eight when I penciled my first 26-page novel, The Adventures of Frances Landon, where the main character traveled to multiple countries in the very first page. Unfortunately, it did not receive the parental or peer-review approval I hoped.

I dared to write again after attending Bradford College where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Studies. At this time, I published health and education articles in IDEA Fitness magazine, The Teaching Professor, and Rocky Mountain Fitness magazine. While I continued to write magazine articles for Women’s Edition, I also commenced an online writing career publishing articles for On Demand Studios, Livestrong and AnswerBag. This online writing also included creating 25 web-based courses for companies like SkillSoft and Anheuser-Busch.

I later earned a Master’s degree in Sports Medicine and continued to focus on health-related writing. More recently, I have plunged into the world of creative writing earning 2nd prize in the 2015 Rogue Valley Messenger short story contest and self-publishing my first children’s story, Alex and the Messy Monster. There are two more children’s books in the “monster” series, and I hope to publish my first non-fiction novella later this year. For me, writing is just much more fun than any real job.
