An avid naturalist with an adventurous streak and a deep yearning to see the world, Julius D. Adelar has spent much of his life exploring Europe, North, Central and South America as well as many other countries and cultures. No fancy hotel rooms for this intrepid wanderer either, as he has done most of this on a shoe- string budget — backpacking, walking vast distances and often sleeping under the stars — everything from working on a Greek fishing boat to surviving solo in the jungles of the tropics for several months.

Yes, he has found the time to pursue a formal education as well, earning an Associate of Arts Degree from County College of Morris, then going on to procure his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Rowan University, New Jersey.

Something of a modern day ‘Renaissance Man’, Julius now lives in the foothills of the great Rockies of Colorado with his wife Charon, where he works on upcoming novels and also makes homemade wines and ales, while keeping his wife very happy with home cooked breads, pastries and superb entrées, as he is something of a self-taught gourmet chef at that!
