Hello Friends,

Once again God has proven himself to me. I had a PET scan this past Friday and I am still free and clear of cancer. When God heals you of cancer, you stay clear of cancer. Praise the Lord.

Some of you may not have heard my testimony and some have. But I never get tired of telling it.

Eight years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a partial mastectomy and they scheduled me for 8 rounds of chemo therapy and 36 treatments of radiation. The chemo made me very sick. I would have three bad weeks and then one good week before I went back for another treatment. On my fourth round of chemo, I became sick even before I left the oncologist office. They had to stop treatment several times for me to throw up. It was as if my body was saying, "that's enough, no more."

I was scheduled to have the 5th treatment at the hospital because of the danger it could cause to my heart. I had gone in for the blood work and registered for the treatment. This was my one good week, so I met my family in Pigeon Forge for a family reunion with my mom, stepfather, sister, 2 brothers, and the spouses. We had a great time of family togetherness. It was the first time they had seen me slick bald.

On the last night of the reunion, we all gathered for prayer. As we joined hands in a circle and began to pray. My youngest brother, Bill, prayed a wonderful, dynamic prayer. I felt a great touch from God from the top of my head to my toes. Growing up in a minister's home, I was always taught to close my eyes during a prayer. I wish this one time I had not obeyed. My husband says the room was filled with a white cloud of God's spirit. I would have loved to see it.

We returned home and I knew I was healed. I got a call from the oncologist's office. They were canceling the final 4 chemo treatments. The doctor had said, these were not necessary, although I know of others who had to have their final 4 treatments. I know this was God sparing me from damage to my heart or further sickness. He is so good to me.

I still had to have the 36 radiation treatments, but they were not so bad. I did get quite a burn from them, but God helped me through them. It has been eight years now and God is still showing me he cares for me and loves me. How can I do anything but praise him.
