Illustrators aways nd to be paid up front, because it is very uncertain you will ever make enough money to pay later!
How many books did you write? and al in rhyme? Maybe you could illustrate it yourself!

Hi Robert, have not heard from you for a long time. Have you published one of your books yet? I am stuck in writers block after writing and publishing 7 children's books.

Most publishers like to match an author's MSS text to an illustrator that they know so you probably won't need to look for one. Good luck - hope all goes well.

Robert, contracts between authors and illustrators vary, depending on what you want from each other, and the financial arrangements between you both. You need to make sure it is written in a legal way that protects you both. Each of you should have your own lawyer. Many good friendships have flou... more

Hi Robert! I published my short story through createspace.com and so far it has been great. It, for me, was one way I found to at least get my story printed, published and able to market, so give them a look and see what you think. Let me know and best wishes!!

Hi Robert. There are so many different avenues for getting published and so many different markets. Networking and writing good queries have worked well for me. Persistence is the key.
