I am a high school art teacher who lives in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island in B.C. When I'm not at school, I busy myself with writing, illustrating, hiking the miles of trails near my home, and getting up to my ears in kid lit. I have three works in progress (2 YA, and one hi-lo MG novel), and recently sold my juvenile historical fiction novel, entitled "Hannah and the Spindle Whorl" to Ronsdale Press in Vancouver. YAY!. ACK!

I am a lover of the outdoors, a bit of an animal freak, an appreciator of good wine, am bsessive about marmite (British roots), and enjoy life's simple pleasures (like a good laugh and warm socks right out of the dryer!). I have two teen-aged sons, a motorcycle-loving husband, and twp steady beagle companions.
I am really looking forward to meeting other writers and illustrators on this forum! (I have posted some of my artwork in my gallery. )
