I love art!! Goodness, I've loved it ever since I can remember. When I was growing up I focused on sharpening my skills all the time. I'd spend hours drawing until my fingers hurt! Eventually, I went to Parsons School of Design and graduated with a degree in illustration. I not only love creating art but love teaching it as well. I've taught lots of different art workshops for the Rockland Center for the Arts, Rockland Community College and the North Rockland Central School District where I live. Currently, I teach drawing and painting at Dominican College.

After having children of my own and getting into the wonderful habit of reading hundreds of books to them ( and I mean 100's!) I was moved to create children's illustrations of my own. Thus, I 'm an aspiring children's book illustrator. I create my works using soft pastels and sometimes gouache ( a fancy kind of watercolor). Most of my characters are from my imagination. But sometimes they turn out looking like people I know! They come to life as I sketch them over and over again doing different things, sometimes nice, sometimes naughty (he, he, he!)

Most of my free time is spent with my husband, Thomas, watching our kids grow, much too fast mind you, in Stony Point, New York where I love to paint, read, cook and listen to classical music . I am a member of some great organizations like, The Graphic Artist's Guild, Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and the Arts Council of Rockland.
