Greetings fellow readers & writers! I'm the author of 14 books, including a YA: Down The Strings (E.P. Dutton); and The Pea Soup Poisonings (Hilliard & Harris) for ages 8-12 which last May, to my great surprise, won the Agatha Award for the 2006 Best Children's/YA novel. It's based on the childhood shenanigans of my own 4 kids. A sequel, The Great Circus Train Robbery, was an Agatha '08 finalist. My mother trashed my first mystery novel, written at age 10 about the kidnapping of a pesky older brother -- so the above books are a sort of redemption! I live in Cornwall, Vermont with my man and our 2 Maine Coon cats. Current temperature (1-3-08) is minus 3. But we throw on another log and another cat on the bed, and survive, Now I've a new book forthcoming in 2010 from Perseverance Press. Midnight Fires is an adult historical, set in 18th century Ireland, written in the voice of Mary Wollstonecraft. If you don't know who she is, think of her daughter, Mary Shelley who wrote Frankenstein. but Mary W's life was more thrilling--she even spent a few years in the middle of the French Revolution.
