I too am looking for a publisher that best suits my storyline - to be honest it seems overwhelming with the number of publishers and determining if they accept unsolicited manuscripts/books. As I mentioned, this is a 'new world' to me - is your (my) book(s) considered fictional picture books? Have you submitted to any publishers yet or are you still determining which ones are best for you? What do you think of self-publishing? I see both pros and cons of publishing that way.

There are also a lot of other resources here, and JacketFlap is a very supportive community of people in the various stages of this dream we all have. From unpublished "newbies" to multiple award winning authors, illustrators, agents, etc...Eric Hammond, being one of the incredible illustrators.
