Hi Ms. Kadair. My name is Beryl Hebert. I am a program specialist and I work for the East Rouge Parish School System. I help support teachers of students with significant disabilities, including autism and severe/profound disabilities. We firmly believe that all students should have the same access to the best in literature as their typical peers. On April 27th, from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, our district will host a literacy celebration for students with significant disabilities. I believe some of our teachers have used or adapted your book There Was an Old Cajun. I know they have used Today is Monday in Louisiana. We would like to invite you to attend our celebration.
