Love your library cat, Catherine--the Guiding Light! I know how you must have felt when your cat died. We had Miguel, a rescued tuxedo cat, for only three or four years before he died of complications from an injury he had before we adopted him. He left a big hole in our lives. He inspired two of my four picture books (I LIke Black and White and The Secret Life of Walter Kitty), not to mention my business/personal logo. I even have a tribute to him and his influence on my work posted on my website! Truly, he is the everlasting cat. :-)

I paint Acrylic on canvas and I found a photographer that lives in Europe and he is great. I wrote to him and he gave me permission to paint from his photos. I figure I will never get to visit a lot of those places and he was nice about it. I do plan on painting a picture for him and mailing it to him as a gift, just to say thanks. Take care.
