Hello fellow JacketFlappers,

I have been a member of JacketFlap for a few months now and I think it’s time I got off the sidelines and started interacting. I do not have a blog yet, but I have a newly established twitter feed, which you can read on my JacketFlap Profile (twitter.com/psamuelson01). I am a children’s publicist and I think I have the coolest job in the world. If you follow my twitter, I’ll let you know about all of the great children’s books I’m working on (Hip Hop Speaks to Children by Nikki Giovanni is back on the New York Times bestseller list!), and all of the great author tours, appearances, and ways to win free books. One of my authors, Kenn Nesbitt, is even offering a free virtual author visit to any school or library that wants to get ten kids together to learn about poetry with his new book My Hippo Has the Hiccups (see www.poetry4kids.com).

I’ve also worked in editorial and for a literary agent, so I do have some experience in various different fields and, when I do put up my blog, I’ll probably be talking about the publishing industry in general.

Regardless, I’m hoping to have a blog up soon, discussing new books (even those that aren’t ours) and shamelessly promoting my authors (they are the best!), but until then I wanted to make as many friends as possible!
