About Jen Green
I am an experienced writer of information books, mainly for children but also family reference. I have written over 250 books, mainly on geography, nature, environment and history. I also write on social issues, earth science, human body, survival, art and artists. Much of my writing is for 7-11s, but I also write for under 7s, 11-14s and adults. I write for both the trade and school / library markets. My publishers include Dorling Kindersley, Watts, Wayland, Quarto, National Geographic, Harcourt / Raintree, Grolier and Lorenz.
After being awarded a doctorate in 1982, I worked in publishing for 15 years, first as an editor and later editorial director before becoming a full-time freelance writer.
