The Orchard has been in Lizzie�s family for generations-it�s even rumored that George Washington once stopped by for a bushel! Sarah and her Mom live across the street, next door to the town library. The two buds are all set to have the absolute best summer ever because this year they get to run The Orchard�s ice cream stand. And these ice cream experts already have a list of impossibly brilliant-you�d-never-believe-these-flavors-go-together sundaes to feature. But you know what they say about the best-laid plans...

Everything goes awry when twins Olive and Peter move next door and Lizzie�s dad offers them jobs at the ice cream stand. Olive is just as bossy and stubborn as Sarah and they are soon bickering over everything from proper ice cream scoop technique to flavor of the day. It�s a tug-of-war even mediator Lizzie can�t end.

But when the first day�s cash goes missing the four kids have to become good friends-and expert detectives-if they want to get the money back before anyone finds out!
