The Healing Quilt is the true story of 10-year-old Carla�s walk with cancer mixed with a little magic that happens in the sewing room when Mrs. Moon is sewing a healing quilt for her. Carla is one of Mrs. Moon�s ice skating students in Yosemite who has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She tells her story of her cancer treatment in emails to Mrs. Moon while Mrs. Moon is sewing the quilt. Carla�s classmates made the quilt blocks for the quilt, and the animals on the quilt blocks come to life in the sewing room and take on the personalities of the students that made them. And that�s when the adventure begins.
