It's Christmas in the Kingdom of Patria. And this year, the holiday egg nog is flowing more freely than usual. Sir Amory Swain has proposed to Oliver Stoop's Aunt Hazel, and a wedding has been set for New Year's Eve.

But just days before this blessed event is to occur, a Blue Sock with the unlikely name of Sir Toby Albright challenges Sir Amory for the hand of the fair Hazel. Sir Toby's challenge takes the form of a quest, a quest for the priceless collectible figurines belonging to Patria's founder, Clodnus the Great.

In defense of his honor, not to mention his spine, of which Aunt Hazel has begun to question the existence, Sir Amory, with Oliver as his squire, embarks on this mission to find Clodnus's legendary collectibles.

Yet pitfalls abound. The quest takes Sir Amory and Oliver straight to the Tomb of Clodnus, where it is said a dreadful wyvern now lives, just waiting to devour anyone who trespasses upon his domain. What's more, Oliver finds himself in competition with his best friend, Prince Farnsworth, who has been enlisted by Sir Toby as his squire.

Will Sir Amory and Oliver find the collectibles before Sir Amory and Farnsworth? Will Oliver's and Farnsworth's friendship survive? And will Sir Amory ever dance the hokey-pokey with Hazel at their wedding?
