In fact, as Gramps tells Sophie, "overcoming your mistakes is bound to make you strong. " This book addresses the problems young children face when feeling pressured to be perfect. It teaches children that mistakes are natural and, even helpful, especially when used as opportunities to learn and grow stronger.
