Above and Beyond is a collection of four highly imaginative short stories written by Marcus Emerson and Ellie Alexandre.

In "Let's Just Say I'm Not Human," Drew has the same dream every night. In it, he journeys to a spot in the woods and starts digging, but wakes before finding anything. He's found the real life spot that his dream takes place in and is determined to uncover the mystery behind the vision.

In "Land of the Sinths," Sam has found himself shrunk to a size smaller than a blade of grass. He has no idea how it happened, but the microscopic people that just took him prisoner might know something about it.

In "The Incredulous Macie and her Three Wishes," while exploring the basement of her father's new pizzeria, Macie has just rescued a butterfly from its prison. In return, it offers to grant her three wishes, one of which is for a knight in shining armor, but just like the fairy tales, this one comes with a dragon.

In "Fake Boy," There's a new kid at school, but there's something odd about him. He's a robot. The others keep their distance except for one of the more curious kids, who accidentally struck up a conversation with the fake boy. Starting at a new school can be pretty difficult, especially if you're not human.

Above and Beyond is approximately 16,700 words.
