I illustrated the cover for this all-text edition, and am working on a fully-illustrated edition! Description: Many people have unexpected gifts, and the Iguana surprised everyone by telling his view of the world in poetry. Everyone but me, that is. I knew from listening that he had a lot to say. He also loves epic mythology, and most people who love epic mythology have to become the storyteller at some point. So here are some of his stories. The love of life and all its feelings are expressed in four distinct chapters: 1. The Iguana at Play: What Iguana Loves 2. The Iguana in Sadness: Tears Big and Small 3. Epic Iguana: Alive in the Universe 4. Iguanaku: Haiku Moments of the Iguana Iguana's mythology moves off the Earth and into the universe. For parents and other caregivers of love, I do want you to know the following, because some of the Iguana's stories are sad. From the book description: "A young iguana tells of being alive in the universe. Poetry by the Iguana is a wonderful book for bedtime and quiet moments, for both children and their grownups." Really, the Iguana did not plan to guide children through their sad times. He thinks that it isn't his place to tell them how to feel. But it just turned out by accident that his stories can help children and grown ups deal with sadness. There is a lot of joy in his poems!
