MoreFUNNY MONKEYS - A Silly Rhyming Picture Book
This is a book about monkeys which is designed to delight and stimulate a sense of rhythm and build all kinds of imagery and connections in your child's imagination.
Let them delight in the language and the pictures ... the repetition and the continual changing verse. Watch them laugh at the silliness of the text as you extend the vowels and vary the pace of it.
The power of imagination in children is very worthwhile developing. Books to little ones mean they are receiving mental stimulation and exercising their brains. The brains need stimulation and they get it through your reading of the text and pictures.
Monkeys are a very popular subject with children; as a subject children love to see monkeys. They go to the zoo and they like to observe them. Why? Because monkeys are so like ourselves they are very appealing and funny too. They're not scary or loud. They can move quite fast and with absolute ease, and really hold a child's attention with their pranks.
Children know that monkeys are fun and are like themselves in lots of ways. They relate to monkeys and just love watching them swinging and jumping; clinging and looking out from their surroundings so curiously. Monkeys have very expressive eyes, don't you think?
Monkeys
Monkeys appear to like family life and are sociable creatures. They strongly resemble us In that they have similar shaped bodies. We may not have as much hair of course. We've somehow evolved to lose most of it. Monkeys have a full body of furry hair of different and colors and this is shown in the book. They almost look like they could talk to us.
So monkeys are creatures little ones love to watch and observe their antics. They are favoured above most animals by kids, in my opinion At the zoo the monkey yard is usually the most popular place to find young children.
This book entitled "Funny Monkeys" will show your child some selective and beautifully crafted pictures of monkeys having fun. Monkeys eating, monkeys being affectionate, monkeys enjoying their little ones, monkeys in trees - all in rhyme. Big monkeys, red nosed monkeys, monkeys being naughty, a monkey eating greedily.
For Example
The naughty little monkeys climbing over their "big papa" and laughing, jumping and in general, wearing their poor old granddad out! :) This is one example. Don't you think that children will enjoy the antics of the baby monkeys jumping and frolicking all over the lap of their granddad?
Illustrations make a book come alive for a child. The pictures tell a story
in themselves. You can ask questions about pictures. The children can
see different attitudes, different relationships, different ways of behaving.
They can see that humans beings live differently but behave similarly to monkeys.
Monkeys
in the forest Yak is waiting for children and their parents to explore. Funny Monkeys is a sweet simple bed time book. It is well written and rhyming.
We hope
you read this to your child and bond well as your read it. Remember to ask the questions and draw out the impressions your child is making of the content. That way his imagination and sense of fun will be drawn out as well as his love of learning and focus.
Incidentally, do watch out for more funny monkeys as they will be coming up in new books. Hopefully Funny Monkeys 2 is also on its way for you to explore!
We need books to reach this "sweet spot" in children's minds. There are so many distractions that don't really teach or encourage a child to think and reflect.
Kids adore their dogs and cats, but monkeys are also very likeable. They can't be resisted and the colored illustrations bring out the nuances of monkey life and monkeys in general for children's enjoyment.
