The Eye of the Undead is the first book in a series of books that
takes young readers on adventures to `real' historical places and gives them a
sense of the history of our world through fictional characters and
storylines. In this story, two friends,
Tiffany and Daniel, are hurled back in time through a computer program. They find themselves in a frightful
predicament as they are trapped in Saqqara, Egypt,
inside Imhotep's Step Pyramid. They meet a new friend, are protected by a
special creature, and are pursued by an evil mummy that is trying to escape the
underworld, all while they are desperately searching for a way out. Will the twosome ever escape this formidable
tomb and find their way home?

Included in this book are
illustrations and `guided reading' questions submitted by many of Deborah's
students. These student contributions
were produced through love for the storyline and great interest in the subject
matter that this story is written around.
These contributions have added personal touches which make this book
even more enjoyable.
