David, Sherry and Cody Parker had just moved to Middleton Heights where they met Tina Brooks. A sweet girl that lived down the secluded street from them.

Everything seemed fine at first, but strange things started happening after the Parker kids had gone to see Tina's secret reading spot in the woods. A gigantic tree with huge roots that they could crawl under.

Before long, both Tina's parents and the Parker parents had disappeared and the kids were all panic stricken while trying to find out what happened to them.

Calling the police wasn't an option for fear of being put in foster care, as well as the extreme possibility of the police not believing their stories about all that had gone on.

Finally they decide to launch their own investigation by talking to the old neighbors on the small six house street hoping to find clues to what had happened. Unfortunately they found it only made the whole situation more surreal and confusing than before.

As they gathered their evidence from neighbors, Tina's neighbor Mrs. King started having health problems. Shortly after her health declined, she told the children a secret that was astonishing and asked a special favor of Tina before her body gave out. Tina, growing up next door to the old woman and loving her so much, complied with her death wish, but at the cost of Mrs. King as well as Tina both vanishing into thin air.

The Parker children were now left alone to find their parents and the entire Brooks family with nobody to help them but the three remaining people on their street. Mrs. Talbot, who was a bit on the grumpy side. Mr. Pendleton, who seemed to hate everybody, especially kids, and Mrs. Franklin whose mind wasn't all there.

Will they succeed in finding everyone safe and sound, or will the continuing Secret of Willow Patch be the end of all of them?
