Gon was very sorry and tried to make it up to Hyoju by surreptitiously bringing him nuts and mushroom. But one day, Hyoju saw Gon again. Thinking Gon was there to steal food, Hyoju shot Gon to death, only to find out Gon was the one who brought him the nuts and mushroom. Nankichi Niimi was considered as the Japanese Hans Christian Andersen.
