After spending the summer helping his parents resettle in the country, Dean returns to Seattle at the invitation of his mentor, Jack Trant. It is Jack who coached and urged Dean through most of his baseball playing days. And now it's Jack who can't accept that those days are over. He has an idea, a plan, and the result is that Dean might get another chance. But does he want it? confused, Den embarked on a neighborhood journey in search of anyone who might suggest the answer.
