From the supplier: The DK Multimedia division of Dorling Kindersley has released five new edutainment titles. The interactive titles are based on the company's best-selling children's reference books, and offer strong, compelling visuals. The offerings include The Way Things Work, based on the David Macaulay book of the same name. Included are illustrations of telescopes, lasers, and light bulbs, so students can see, as well as read, how things work. Over 200 of the biggest scientific discoveries are presented in simple terms. My First Incredible, Amazing Dictionary, for children between ages four and seven, is even suitable for non-readers. The release speaks words and their meanings, and lets students go through the material at their own pace. The Eyewitness Encyclopedia of Science offers 1,700 interactive entries, to link common principles to separate scientific studies. It includes full-motion video, sound files, and text-based help files.
