Lena Young de Grummond was professor emerita of library science at the University of Southern Mississippi . She founded the Lena Young de Grummond Collection of original manuscripts and illustrations of children's books, one of the largest and most important collections of its kind in the world. Lynn de Grummond Deluane was professor of children's literature at the College of William and Mary for fifteen years. She now works as a sculptor and painter.
