Inspired by a true story, the story is the dramatic account of Alia Muhammad Baker, the chief librarian of the Central Library in Basra, who undertook a mission of epic proportions to save over 30,000 precious books during the war with the help of her neighbors and friends. The last page of the book contains a brief history of libraries in the Middle East through the ages. Book is written in Arabic.
