This is Prathap Kamath's second collection of poetry in English. We live in a meaningless world, made so by our knowledge given to us of all that is happening around us simultaneously by today's media which bombards us with news every second that we would prefer not to know about. It is the world in which our childhood seems sacrosanct simply and precisely because we did not 'know.' In such a post-truth world, I have tried to follow Prathap's meaningful poems, short stories . . . with admiration and even a sense of gratitude for his refusal to compromise on the need to make sense of the world and be meaningful, while also not caving in to demands that his art be anything but the best he can make of it.
