Volume 12 in the Scheherezade Presents series. These colorful story books ar designed for use by teachers with multi-cultural classes and for parent of children learning English as a second language. Ech book contains 3 traditional stories from across the Arab world and Europe, plus a section of teacher's notes, exercises, songs or activities for class groups, and picture sheets for children to color in, reinforce the themes in each book. Childlrllen's vocabulary, numeracy and new science and moral concepts are developed through the volumes, although individual stories can also be read alone. ------ Volume 12 contains three stories: Bacbouc the Lazy Tailor, Beauty and the Beast and The Red Shoes. These stores and the teacher's notes introduce children to: the letters i and r, counting to 50 and magnetism.
