Henty wrote 122 novels for adults and boys, published by William Tinsley, Andrew Chatto and Alexander Blackie. Newbolt's bibliography gives the details of over 500 editions of Henty's work, including work which he contributed to books, annuals, periodicals and newspapers. Additional information on the publishers, illustrators and designers that he worked with, and the production methods used to create his books, are included.
