Young airplane buffs will undoubtedly love this highly interactive board book, even if the pull-tabs and flaps might be a tad tricky for the smallest fingers. Impressive technical details will require some explanation and definition for the toddler, but could inspire interesting and creative discussion ("Mommy, what's a Voltmeter set?" "What does 'remove the wheel chock' mean?"). The pilot's-eye view of the cockpit controls (complete with checklist and removable radio for contacting the control towers) gives readers a fascinating taste of flying an airplane all by themselves.
