This is a collection of ideas which should be useful in a variety of contexts: school assemblies, Sunday clubs and family services. Each one, based around a theme, provides a talk in outline form, a list of requirements, an activity, a Bible reference and a prayer or reflection. The combination of ideas plus activities aims to ensure that children listen closely and retain more than conventional talks. The themed talks can be presented as short series. Themes include: "Buried Treasure", "Warning Signs", "True Stories", "I'm Precious", "Christian Beliefs", plus a useful "Fresh Ideas for Festivals" section. Each talk and activity last approximately five to ten minutes. Chris Chesterton is the author of "52 Ideas for Junior Classroom Assemblies".
