Polly too has made something that holds memories for gran, and as she hugs grandad very hard, she is ready to say goodbye in her very own way. This gentle and sensitive story is followed by a practical activity section with ideas for ways in which children can help prepare for the gathering which takes place after the funeral, and for the funeral itself. They are also encouraged to express their feelings positively in the time that follows. Activities include: cookery; calligraphy; paper crafts; collage; using flowers and creative writing. Photocopy permission is included on all craft activities. Including the Christian message of hope in a positive and non-threatening way, this book enables adults to include children the grieving process.
