Thunder, an African elephant, sets out on a quest to save his mother who was captured by poachers. With the help of some unlikely friends: a couple of kooky birds, a family of rhinos, two upbeat gorillas, a majestic eagle, and Jennetta Blue, a blue butterfly, they help Thunder to stomp out poaching. Thunder convinces his friends to help him save his mother whom he is convinced is still alive. They brave adventure, daring escapes and meet many exotic creatures from the African veldt who help them on their search. Discovering that his quest is part of an ancient prophecy to bring all endangered animals to the safety of Heart Haven, a secret sanctuary, Thunder uses his extraordinary skill, stomping his feet to create small earthquakes to save his mother. Together with his new friends, he helps to stomp out poaching and saves the day.
