The Explorer Bible is a book which offers young children the opportunity to combine Bible reading and prayer with activities to reinforce what they have learned.

The stories of Noah, Joseph, Moses and Elijah and stories of the life, teaching and miracles of Jesus are found together in this engaging book. Each section tells a story from the Bible in a clear, simple way surrounded by colorful pictures of the characters and action involved, and follows it up with several fun "Activities," a "Prayer," and "Something to Think About." "Activities" include word searches, spot the difference, join the dots, coloring, and picture matching, and provide children with meaningful tasks while learning more about Bible characters and their relationship with God.

An example of "Something to Think About" from the story of Noah: "It is sometimes difficult to do the right thing. It's even harder when everyone else around you is doing something different and they laugh at you."
