Book Description in English: Average guy Mel has a new friend moving in, but the arrangement isn't working out the way he had anticipated. You see, he was expecting his new dog to be the loyal, trustworthy, man's-best-friend kind of housemate. Instead, Fergus is turning his world inside out, and the neighbors are starting to talk.
Mel and Fergus are the ultimate odd couple of the comics page, two inseparable best friends who stumble through everyday life together. They eat at the same table, share the same bed, and watch the same television shows. In the zany spirit of the infamous comedy teams of Laurel and Hardy and Abbott and Costello, cartoonist Mark O'Hare has created a twosome whose relationship goes way beyond owner and pet. Mel and Fergus work out their differences in a decidedly no-holds-barred way that's all too funny and familiar.
When Mel goes grocery shopping, this stubborn pooch refuses to wait in the car, and Mel is forced to endure Fergus' greedy appetite for pickles in aisle five and breakfast cereals in aisle six.
After Mel hears a suspicious noise downstairs in the middle of the night, you'll laugh as they struggle to decide whether or not Fergus is a good watchdog.
When Fergus and Mel get separated on one of their regular walks together, Mel puts up "missing dog" fliers all over town. Guess who tries to file a missing person's report at the police station
