An eleven year-old misfit, a nerd named Alyson, gets sucked into the computer where she becomes a virtual girl. The more complex beings of Computer Land are programmed with Java. Alyson is invited to a Java party where she meets the twins, Logicus and Illogicus and Stinky, a computer bug. Time is running out for Alyson to find her way home before she is deleted by the computer virus she has mistakenly released into Computer Land. Alyson must prove what she is programmed with before the Trial Software expires, and she is thrown into the waiting arms of the Executioness. Can Alyson, a mere human girl, outsmart the cyber-beings of Computer Land and escape to her world? Alyson is a mix of both hardware and software, "My brain is soft, but my skull is hard. My thoughts must be software. I think, therefore, I am."
