This quality game from DreamWorks Interactive is a first-person shoot-'em-up action game for kids. Using a highly modified version of the venerable Doom graphics engine, the game challenges players to help the League of Good Guys defeat the evil Masked Mutant and his vile henchmen. This well-written guide to the game is set up just like a comic book (complete with a comic font), with illustrations from the game and caption-style explanations of the various tips and tricks players will need to win. The images from the game are big enough and clear enough to actually be helpful, while the text reads like a narrative, making the guide easy to follow. The book closes with some interesting storyboards from the game's development stage--some of these even offer another clue or two. --Michael Ryan
